The USA Flag Swim Briefs take red, white and blue and strip away everything remotely ceremonial. Stars wrap one side, stripes take over the other, and the whole thing lands somewhere between Fire Island Fourth of July, Provincetown pool deck and the extremely specific confidence of a man who has decided patriotism needs more hip.

The brief sits close to the body, while the low-rise cut shows plenty of thigh without turning the fit into novelty costume territory. An adjustable waist string lets you fine-tune the fit, and the lined construction keeps things comfortable when you actually get in the water instead of simply orbiting the bar.

Wear them with an open white shirt, cowboy boots, mirrored sunglasses or nothing above the waist except an unreasonable amount of sunscreen. Queer Americana should always look this good wet.
